How do I search for projects?
Login to your account. Once you are logged in, click My Options then Browse Projects located in the top menu. Usernames and Passwords are CASE SENSITIVE which means if your username or password is like "ThEUsEr" then you must type it in extactly like that.

How do I bid on a project?
Login to your account. Once you are logged in, click My Options then Browse Projects located in the top menu. Once you have chosen a project by clicking on the project number, scroll down to the bottom where you see three forms. In the First Form (Bid: $) is the amount you will do this project for. Your bid must be within the set budget located near the top of the post, underneath status. The Second Form (Delivery) is how long it will take you to complete the project, and lastly the Third Form is where you would tell the poster a little bit about yourself, and why they should pick you. Max 150 Characters. After that is all filled out, simply click Post Bid, when it asks you to confirm your bid, click OK.

How do I cancel my bid?
After you have bid on a project, and you decided that you no longer want to bid on that particular project, click on My Option the View My Projects. Click on the project number you wish to cancel your bid on, then scroll down near the bottom where all of the bids are posted. Beside your username on the right hand side you should see 'Cancel Bid', click on that. After you have cancelled your bid, you will no longer be able to bid on that particular project.

Will I be charged a commission on any projects that I win?
NO. We do not charge any monthly service fees, or commission fees. So put that credit card away.

How do I close my account?
If you wish to close your account, you must be logged in. Click on Contact Us in the top menu. Choose Remove Account as your subject, and please tell us why you wish to be removed. We will then manually de-activate your account.

How do I rate someone and how do I send them feedback?
If you were the winner of a project, and you have received a feedback from the project poster, you will then be able to rate the project poster and send them a feedback. Simply click on My Options then View My Feedbacks. Click the on the project name to bring up the details about that project. Scroll down to the bottom, and you should now see a button allowing you to send the project poster a FeedBack. Click on that, then fill out the FeedBack Form.

How do I change my personal details and how can I change my email address or username?
Login to your account. Click on My Options the Edit My Profile. Here you will be able to edit your details and change your password. To change an email address, or username, you must first login, then click on the Contact Us from the top menu. Next fill out the provided forms. Simply put in what you would like to change your username and what email address you would like to change yours to.

I lost my password, how do I get a new one?
Click on the drop-down menu in the top right corner. Click on Forget Password. Fill in your Username and Email Address you used when registering. A temporary password will be sent to that email address. After that, login in using your username and new password. Once you are logged in click on My Options then Edit My Profile. There you will be able to edit your details and change your password to something else if you'd like.

I never got my confirmation email, what do I do?
If you did not receive your confirmation email, please send an email to helpdesk[at]frelancewar.com. In that email please include your username, Zip/Postal code, and email address, to confirm it's you. We will then manually activate your account for you.

How can I report a violation of the terms and conditions?
Login to your account. Once you are logged in, click on the post in which you think violates our terms and conditions. If it is the post itself that is in violation, click the report violation button near top of the post. If it is the bidder who is violating the terms and conditions, click the report violation link beside the posters name under the column "action". Next simply choose the subject of the violation, and please tell us why it is in violation. Then click the Send Private Message Button.

How do I post a project?
Login to your account. Once you are logged in, click on My Options then View My Projects from the top menu. Once you are at that page, click on Post A Project. Next, fill out all of the neccessary forms, choose whether bidding is based on an hourly rate, or per project, and agree to the terms and conditions. Then just click the "Post Your Project" button. Click OK to confirm your details. Please do not post and bogus ads, employment ads, projects based on hourly rates, or test projects. They will be removed immediately.

How can I cancel a project before the closing date?
Login to your account. Once your are logged in, click on My Options then View My Projects from the top menu. Once you are at that page, and you can see a list of all your projects, click on the Cancel link beside the project you wish to cancel. Your project will now be cancelled and removed from the system. You will only be able to cancel a project if where a winner has NOT been chosen and their are currently no bids.

Does it cost me anything to post a project?
No, it is completely free to post on Freelancewar.com, so put that credit card away.

Can I edit my project once it's been posted?
No, just cancel the project immediately, and start a new one.

How do I choose a winner?
Login to your account. Once your are logged in click on My Options the View My Projects. Choose the project in which you wish to choose a winner for. Scroll down to where all the bids are posted. Under the "Action" column you will see a link called Make Winner, click on that link. The winner will then be sent a private message from Freelancewar.com, letting them know that they are the winner of this project. It is up to you then to send them a message to discuss the details of the project, and payment arrangements.

How do I pay the winner?
We suggest using a money transfer system like Paypal.com, Escrow.com, or Moneybookers.com. We suggest releasing the funds after the project has been completed, or make a small deposit at first, then release the rest of the funds when the project is finished. NEVER pay for the whole project upfront. Be carefull when choosing a contractor.
